Michael brings a diverse skillset and an affinity for personal growth and responsibility to Campbell & Company. His roles in educational, cultural, and for-profit institutions have given Michael a broad perspective on his work with Campbell & Company, allowing him to be a better partner for Campbell & Company’s consulting team.
Michael began his career as a Native English Teacher working in South Korea for four years. He worked in team-teaching environments and on his own to conduct enriching and immersive English classes and camps for elementary school students and teachers. Michael saw thousands of students pass through his classroom and captured their attention with presentations, student-made videos, and a lot of repetition. As part of this role, Michael developed his communications and education skills and gained a more nuanced global understanding.
Following his return to the United States, Michael took a role at Shedd Aquarium. He quickly progressed from serving as a greeter in the Shedd’s main foyer and selling tickets to joining the main switchboard team and developing a process to collect data on incoming inquiries.
A role at Tradecraft Outfitters allowed Michael to pursue one of his main professional passions—streamlining processes and creating more efficient routes to success. Michael lowered accounts receivable to a sustainable level by developing customer relationships and creating a follow-up schedule with tiered groups of customers. He also laid the groundwork for a human resources department by developing an online dashboard for new hires and creating departmental manuals.
Michael was also the Vice President of Membership and President of his Toastmasters club, a public speaking and leadership organization, in Seoul, South Korea where he earned Competent Communicator and Competent Leader awards. He is an avid cyclist and holds a BS in Business Management and Administration from Bradley University.
