“I believe that humans are fundamentally narrative creatures; our lives turn on the axis of the stories we believe about ourselves, others, and the world around us. I bring this perspective into my work with executive search because the perfect match is found when the context and story of an organization as well as the background and narrative of a prospective candidate is taken into consideration.”
Angèle brings a dynamic spirit and relational connectedness to every search. She contributes to the Executive Search team’s work through executing targeted research, networking and sourcing, and implementing creative strategies to match an organization with its best candidate. Angèle is proud to be part of Campbell & Company’s Executive Search team, ranked one of the nation’s Top 10 search firms for women of color by Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC)® two years in a row and one of the country’s best executive search firms for four years by Forbes Magazine.
Angèle was born and raised internationally in several Sub-Saharan African countries. This multicultural upbringing in the Global South as well as her high contact with international NGO communities first sparked her interest in the nonprofit sector.
When she transitioned back to the US, Angèle attended Wheaton College where she studied English and Communications. While in university, Angèle had the opportunity to be involved in several aspects of the administration of the college, working with the Advancement Office as a Phonathon Caller as well as a Student Ambassador, raising money for the college, planning philanthropic events, doing donor outreach, and traveling with and speaking on behalf of the college during their capital campaign. In addition, Angèle was an active leader in Student Government and worked in the Admissions office as a recruiter for prospective students.
Angèle spent time working for Samaritan’s Purse in Niger where she served as a French/English translator, conducted research on local nonprofits and prospective partnerships, and created and wrote onboarding materials. This experience cemented her passion for humanitarian and nonprofit work and her commitment to partnering with organizations committed to furthering human flourishing.
In her free time, Angèle volunteers with Tutoring Chicago as a tutor and member of the Associate Board, as she is a passionate advocate for access to education. She loves traveling to new and familiar places, reading works of Magical Realism, talking about the effects of globalization, and hosting dinner parties for friends, family, and anyone else who is willing to try her food.
